NASA has released a series of visual animations under the title Blue Marble Next Generation. These track shifts in global vegetation, seasonal landcover change, aerosols and warming, arctic ice cover, beach erosion, and a host of other subjects. The animations are both entertaining and informative. Check them out here.
Note: it's a government site so it's not organized for viewer convenience. You have to check around on several pages to actually get something you can animate.
