The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Snowdrops
We spent the weekend at the Harbor. When we got back this afternoon we found that the Snowdrops have finally popped. Only three weeks late -- a measure of how bad a winter it has been. The Snowdrops are my personal harbinger of Spring and seeing them in full flower gladdens my spirits immensely. Now, if I could only forget what Obama and his cluster of clowns are doing to the land I love...
