To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes:
"Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile;
So ere you find where light in darkness lies,
Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes."
It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Another Wren Update
Things seem to have settled down in the bird wars. The flycatcher now stays to its side of the house and the wren couple is undisturbed. Here is the male singing away.
Then he noticed that he was being observed and zeroed in on the camera. He may be small, but that look can really intimidate. I'm starting to sympathize with the flycatcher.
