The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Will on Warming
George Will, who has recently [if somewhat belatedly] awakened to the evil that lies at the heart of the environmental movement thinks that its recent initiatives will collapse because they are inherently stupid [here]. I wish it were so, but take a look at what Congress is in the process of doing regarding health care. Wisdom is in short supply these days and stupidity seems to reign triumphant.
