Victor Davis Hansen argues that a life spent in academia, in community organizing halls, and in media green rooms has ill-prepared Obama for meeting the challenges of the presidency. The world is a far different thing than he imagined it to be and often conditions are precisely the reverse of what he hoped for. His is, in Hansen's words, a "Humpty Dumpty" view of the world.
