The Art Renewal Center has announced the winners of its 2006 scholarship competition. This was the second place entry. Titled "Message Of Spring" it was painted by a remarkable young woman, Evelyn Choi. Ms. Choi studied at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto, where she finished the five year course in two years. What is more, when she arrived at the academy she had no previous art training nor could she speak English. In addition to her art studies she is taking English classes. In something of an understatement the catalogue notes:Instructors praise her incredible talent, exceptional work ethic and endless dedication.I'll say! I look forward to seeing more from this lady.
