Payback

I never much cared for the Kennedys, especially Bobby, and have never paid much attention to the proliferating conspiracy theories regarding JFK's assassination. To me it always seemed pretty straightforward. Oswald was the lone gunman, he was certifiably insane, and the hit was probably in some way retaliation for repeated attempts by the CIA and the Kennedy brothers to assassinate Fidel Castro. That, at least to me, seemed to be the most plausible explanation for JFK's death.

Now Gus Russo and Stephen Molton have published a book, Brothers in Arms -- The Kennedys, The Castros, and the Politics of Murder, detailing just such as scenario. While this is by no means the final word on the subject, the authors have made a reasonable argument and uncovered considerable evidence to support it. This is a book worthy of serious consideration.
