To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Swannee!
Lynn Swann, Hall of Fame receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is running for governor of Pennsylvania. He has to defeat two other challengers for the Republican nomination and, if successful, will face incumbent governor, Ed "Leadfoot" Rendell, in November. It promises to be an interesting matchup. Swann has no political experience but is bright, articulate, and media savvy. Rendell is also bright, articulate, and politically savvy, but has not had a very successful record as governor. If Swann can make Rendell's record the issue, he has a chance. It's too early to say how this will shape up, but it will be fun to watch.
