Several years ago David Cronenberg made an extremely sick and weird movie [yeah, a typical Cronenberg film] about identical twin brothers who were gynecologists. They had complicated and perverse relations with their patients that involved impersonating each other. The film starred Jeremy Irons as both brothers and was titled Dead Ringers.
Today Reuters reports:
SEATTLE (Reuters) - An attorney has filed the latest in a series of civil lawsuits against twin physician brothers, accusing them of impersonating one another and sexually assaulting female patients in an obstetric-gynecology practice.
Hmmmm. What if people started acting out other Cronenberg films -- like Rabid, Shivers, Videodrome.... The mind boggles.
