Nancy Rabinowitz, director of the Kirkland Project for the Study of Gender, Society and Culture, at Hamilton college has resigned her position "under duress." She came under fire because she had been responsible for inviting Prof. Churchill to speak on her campus and that invitation had sparked the initial protests that ignited this interminable controversy. She is stepping down because she has no stomach for engaging in the "political and media fight that the current climate requires." This is interesting. She had no problem with imposing a left-wing controversial agenda on Hamilton's students, even to the point of trying to secure a faculty position for a convicted terrorist, so long as nobody challenged her, but now that controversy has emerged she wants out. She will continue to teach literature courses. I feel sorry for the kids who wind up in her classes, she sounds like a classic bully.
