Horror in Paradise

Well not literally in Paradise, that's a nearby town right down the road from Intercourse and Blue Ball [giggle, snicker, snort, etc.]. Anyhow, there has been a horrific murder in a town, Leola, in Lancaster County, right in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country [just a few miles north of Paradise]. The media are trumpeting it as "Murder in Amish Country," taking advantage of the dramatic contrast between the image of peaceful farm folk and gruesome murder.

At least six people are dead. They seem to have been killed by someone wielding a hammer. Not much else is known. It's only a matter of time before some bright young thing has an inspiration and links it to the Borden murder case that took place in nearby Lititz a few months ago [you remember that one -- the 14 year old girl whose boyfriend killed her parents and then the two of them took off and drove cross-country..., yeah, that one].

Here's the CNN story.
