This site provides an opportunity for students to report professors who exhibit excessive bias in their classes or course requirements. Not surprisingly, Berkeley has more complaints than any other campus. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this. The potential for abuse is too great and the mechanisms for rebuttal or redress inadequate. On the other hand, the more information students can get on classes prior to registration, the better they will be able to plan their course of study. On the other hand, my experience has been that most students have other things on their minds than ideological balance. On the other hand those students who are so concerned might find the infomation useful. On the other hand, it is important for students to be exposed to ideas that challenge their preconceptions.
