To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

In the Spring an Old Man's Fancy Lightly Turns to Thoughts of Baseball
Well, it's official. Spring has Sprung.
Today was the first workout for pitchers and catchers.
It won't be much of a year for the good guys. Neither the Orioles nor my beloved Pirates have much of anything, and that's a good thing. The Steeler's recent run to the Super Bowl demonstrated to me just how easy it is to slide back into sports addiction. At least through the long, long baseball season I won't be tempted..., well, not a lot.
