The flowers on which "She" had lavished so much attention were covered with snow. In some cases the effect was delightful. The Azaleas looked great -- delicate white leaf clusters rather than the flowers that will soon bloom. Others looked terrible. The Rhododendrons, leaves curled against the cold and covered with snow, just looked sad. By afternoon, though, the temperature had climbed into the forties and the snow went away.
"She" and her girlfriends headed off to New York for some shopping and a show and dinner. The weather forecast was for high winds and snow mixed with rain. Not very good. She was prepared, though. She wore two coats, one over the other. I told her she would look like a bag lady wearing multiple coats, but if truth be told she has good fashion sense and looked fine. As they left I could hear them happily discussing what stores they would visit and where they would meet for cocktails. I forgot to ask what show they were seeing. I don't think it matters much. They seem to enjoy theatre experience whatever is on stage.
