Democrats were quick to condemn Republican Senator Ted Stevens for putting a hold on the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act, that would have provided public information on government grants and contracts.
"Republican Secret Hold Blocks Accountability" they trumpeted.
Well, it turns out that Stevens was not the only one putting a hold on the legislation. Sen. Robert Byrd, a Democrat, did so too.
Suddenly the Democrats are no longer outraged.
Oh well..., back to the drawing boards.
