To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes:
"Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile;
So ere you find where light in darkness lies,
Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes."
It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Walking With the Animals
"She Who Shall Not Be Named" and I spent a day at the Lake Tobias animal park with some friends a couple of weeks ago. I just got around to downloading the pictures I took. Here's a small selection -- there were many, many more. Doctor Doolittle to the contrary, understanding animal talk isn't that difficult. Basically it boils down to variations on "feed me, feed me, feed me."
