Condi/Barak

I haven't been following the Condi Rice grilling, but Gregory Djerejian has. He notes that the only member of the Senate panel who distinguished himself with sharp, thoughtful, and important questioning was the committee's newest member, Barak Obama. He reproduces and comments briefly on Obama's questions on nuclear proliferation, the extent of our committment in Iraq, and on the Millenium Challenge Corporation. Obama clearly is a comer, a serious thinker who understands and takes seriously the complexity of the problems facing the nation in coming years. Read Greg's account. You'll be impressed. I know I was.
