Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!

On the FOX channel Democrat spinners are now starting to call for a troop withdrawal now that the elections are over [yes, I know this negates my earlier post]. Let's hope that they don't get much traction with this. We abandoned the Iraqi people once; let's not do it again. This is our chance to redeem the mistakes of the first Bush administration. Let's not lose it.

Meanwhile John Kerry on Meet the Press declared that the election did not confer legitimacy on the process because lots of Sunnis did not vote. That is just sad!

Get real, guy,

Everyone is "slanted" to some degree. "Fair and balanced" is a slogan designed to highlight the difference in perspective between FOX and its rivals. Nothing more, nothing less. The best we can hope for is an honest and respectful exchange of viewpoints. I think something wonderful happened in Iraq and that we should, indeed must, build on it. Others might disagree, but that difference of opinion is reasonable. Kerry's comments are sour and sad, considering how close he was to becoming president just a coupld of months ago. Reflexive bitterness ill serves him and the party he represented. What is unreasonable, I suppose, is the expectation that opinion will not enter into the great national dialogue, or that objective and inclusive coverage will be provided by any one single source.
