Who owns Albert Einstein? You would be surprised -- or perhaps not.
Last week Corbis, a company created by Bill Gates, purchased the Richman agency which owns the rights to the images of more than fifty deceased celebrities including Albert Einstein.
According to the Guardian the images now owned by Gates through Corbis include, in addition to Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Mae West, the Wright brothers, Gypsy Rose Lee, Steve McQueen, Basil Rathbone and Boris Karloff, Gloria Swanson, Rudolf Valentino, the Marx Brothers, Isaac Asimov, and numerous other cultural icons.
