Virginia

Traveled down to Virginia for lunch yesterday. We ate at the 2941 restaurant in Fairfax County. Nice place, good food. "She Who Must Not Be Named" and the other woman in the group particularly liked their signature martini. Their gimmick is that they serve cotton candy at the end of the meal.

Afterwards I wandered around for a bit taking pictures. Here's a bit of what I saw.

An interesting piece of sculpture right outside the dining area. Funny, there's a hole where the stomach would be. Wonder if they thought that through when they ordered the piece.

This reminded me of a landscape by Sisley.

Just missed the color by about a week.

Must remember to visit Virginia a bit earlier next fall. It's a beautiful State and we plan to come back in the spring.
