Critics of Bush's "adventure" in Iraq have long asserted that his overthrow of Saddam would create there and throughout the region a haven and a breeding ground for terrorist organizations. However, Strategy Page notes that Arab states in the gulf region have become increasingly hostile to the terrorists and are at best "uneasy" havens. But a breeding ground and haven has developed -- in Europe. Strategy Page writes that: "European laws and customs provide the most hospitable recruiting grounds and sanctuaries for Islamic terrorists."
