The blogosphere is all atwitter about Eason Jordan's remarks at a Davos panel to the effect that American troops had been "targeting" hostile journalists. This would be laughable paranoia except for the fact that Mr. Jordan speaks for CNN. I have refrained from commenting on the matter because, well... I'm not a journalist and have long since ceased to credit anything originating with CNN. But Michelle Malkin is on the job, getting direct quotes from three of the participants in the meeting. Read Rebecca MacKinnon's take on Eason here [she's a real, but recovering journalist]. Malkin's posts are here. Jay Rosen at Pressthink has a lot of good stuff on the controversy.
