Kerry Acts Decisively Against the Enemy

From James Taranto:
An e-mail from John Kerry's* "campaign" that popped into our e-mailbox this morning struck a decidedly different tone [from the Senator's recent pronouncements regarding our adventure in Iraq]. It declared, "Each move they make we'll meet head on. We'll act quickly, decisively, and we won't yield an inch." Needless to say, Kerry referred not to America's enemies but to Republican fund-raising efforts.
...
* The haughty, French-looking Massachusetts Democrat, who by the way alleges that U.S. troops are "terrorizing kids and children" in Iraq. But he supports the troops!
You can't make this stuff up!

Read all of Taranto's column here. It is a good synopsis of current Democrat disarray on the subject of Iran and the war on terrorism. I would disagree with Taranto on one thing. He dates Democratic problems with national security issues from 1968. I would trace the problem much farther back -- to Korea and the emergence of the National Security State in the late 1940s.

Read Taranto here.
