To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Appalachian Springtime -- Rhododendrons
It began a couple of months ago with tiny snowdrops poking up through fallen leaves. Now Spring is approaching its climax here on the mountain with rhododendrons reaching almost to the sky, or so it seems. Soon the heat of summer will be on us, but let's not think of that. Let us stay in the present and enjoy an almost perfect day.
