Sleazo-cons

David Brooks has a terrific article on the corruption of the conservative movement over the past decade. He in particular targets Grover Norquist.

It goes without saying that all the major institutions that organize our lives [political, academic, religious, economic, social, etc] are thoroughly corrupt. This, I would argue, is not necessarily a bad thing. Rigid adherence to principle has its unlovely side too. But it would be foolish to think that the conservatives are any different.
