To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes:
"Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile;
So ere you find where light in darkness lies,
Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes."
It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Rust Belt Beauty
For those who appreciate the beauty of the rust-belt let me recommend a spectacular exhibit that is opening in Grafton, West Virginia this week. The photographer is Kevin Scanlon and he has the eye. Wonderful images, many of them of Western Pennsylvania. Here's a sample.
The Point and the Mon from Mt. Washington.
J&L's Aliquippa works at night.
Check out the whole exhibit online here. And if you get a chance drop down to Grafton and see it in person.
