Dick Morris makes the pertinent point that Republican criticism of Bill Clinton's war and subsequent occupation in Kosovo (undertaken in defiance of the UN) was just as misplaced as current criticism of George Bush's war in Iraq.
What Morris fails to recognize, however, is the fact that at the time, leading Republicans such as Sen. Robert Dole, strongly supported Clinton's adventure. With the exception of Sen. Joseph Lieberman, however, Democrats have withheld their support from Bush and have been content to sit back and snipe from the sidelines.
And, as Morris to his credit notes, No former President in the 1990's lowered themselves to engage in cynical partisan posturing such as that recently indulged in by Clinton.
