Sarah Palin is turning out to be a far more complex and interesting figure than anyone assumed when she was running for Vice President. Yesterday she defied pressure from pro-life groups and chose a former board member of Planned Parenthood to serve on the Alaska Supreme Court. At the same time she is supporting legislation that would require parental notification for girls under the age of seventeen, a law that Planned Parenthood opposes. The nominee, Morgan Christen, also was a partner in an environmental law firm with which is currently opposing Governor Palin.
Yet more proof that Sarah is anything but the one-dimensional idiot liberal bigots assumed she was. The lady does nuance.
