The Bilious Young Fogey Speaks Out

Toby on "WAR"
Tomorrow, the Guardian and the Independent will be full of editorials saying it was all our fault. John Pilger and Michael Moore will say Blair caused this. The international crowd of panty-waisted appeasers will be wringing their hands with mock horror.

Will the lefties wake up and realise that we are in a war of annihilation? Will Islington socialists now understand what it is like to be an Israeli sitting on a bus that is blown apart by an Islamic bomber?

Will England recover her stoic and martial spirit, or go the way of Spain ....

Enough is enough!
Read it here.

Well, perhaps not complete annihilation..., but war is serious business, the most serious I can imagine. Those who would play little political games with the war effort, whether it is those who wrap themselves in the bloody flag and brook no criticism, or those who can do nothing but criticize and obstruct, are utterly contemptible. Fortunately, in most of the Anglosphere (the part that counts, anyway) grownups who approach the entire subject in a serious and sophisticated way have maintained control over the levers of power.

Well said, Toby.

The "special relationship" between Britain and the USA has just gotten a lot more special.
