Edward McPherson has just published a nice biography of Buster Keaton, one of the most brilliant figures in silent movies. Dennis Drabelle reviews it for the WaPo here.
Check this book out and be prepared to be amazed. Keaton was a towering figure in the history of film. If you are not already familiar with his work, you should be. Read the book, rent the films [available on DVDs] and see a genius [a real one] at work.
