John Cornyn throws the intemperate charge right back at Durbin. He cites extreme language used by Democrats to describe judicial nominees. Now he launches into praise for Judge Owen. Nothing much here.
Now he's calling on the Democrats to drop the filibuster threat.
It seems that the Republicans are arguing for moderation and for the judge. Democrats are content to simply denounce Republicans as extremists and threats to the nation. This debate is going nowhere.
