Gerard Baker Meets Bush

Gerard Baker of the Times had a long meeting with President Bush and had this interesting observation:

In person Mr Bush is so far removed from the caricature of the dim, war-mongering Texas cowboy of global popular repute that it shakes one’s faith in the reliability of the modern media.

Of course that assumes that one has faith in the reliability of the modern media -- few do these days.
