To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Walking In the City
When I'm in the city I usually walk in the morning, and I always take a camera. This shot was taken on South Charles Street looking north toward the Harbor. The streetlights, you will notice, are still on and they add something to the picture. My favorite coffee shop is just around the corner and a few minutes after taking this shot I was comfortably ensconced in an easy chair, sipping Ethiopian blend, and reading an article on the philosophical justifications for academic freedom. It's a rough life.
To answer one of my correspondents -- this picture was taken a few days before Katrina hit. I was not sipping while NO burned.
