Pennsylvania Politics -- Santorum's Troubles Continue

The latest Keystone Poll run by Terry Madonna at Franklin and Marshall shows that Bobby Casey leads Rickey Santorum by thirteen points. The pattern from various polls is consistent -- Santorum is down by double digits and is not gaining ground anywhere.

Pennsylvania voters are equally disenchanted with Democrat Gov. "Fast Eddie" Rendell. Both he and Santorum have re-elect numbers around 40%. The difference is that while the Democrats have a popular candidate to oppose Santorum, the Republicans have yet to settle on someone to run against Rendell.

It's still early and Santorum can turn things around. Most voters know absolutely nothing about Bob Casey except that they liked his dad. As attention focuses on young Bobby his polls will go down -- at least that's what the Republicans hope.
