Frederick W. Stakelbeck, Jr., over at the American Thinker, has a good short summary of the current situation regarding North Korean nukes. He is absolutely right to note that China holds all the cards and it is disappointing to note that China has ruled out any talk of sanctions against the North Korean regime.

He closes with a warning:
If an agreeable solution between the parties is not reached within the next few weeks, the current crisis has the potential to spiral wildly out of control -- becoming a catastrophic event unmatched in its destruction.

That, I think, is a bit of overstatement -- at least I sure hope it is. But the article does do a good job of outlining the nature of the quandry we are in and the range of unpalatable options currently available to us.

Read the whole thing here.
