To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Neo on Obama
Neo-Neocon looks at our fine young President and finds him and his programs..., well..., "repellent". A lot of people supported Obama hoping against hope that he didn't really mean what he said. Well, increasingly we are coming to understand that he meant it, all of it.
She seems to be onto something. Read it here.
I so far have been of the opinion that Obama is simply in over his head, thrashing around, and in his confusion falling back on the silly theories and resentments he learned in the sheltered environs of academia and the activist community. Neo sees something a lot more sinister. Maybe she's right, but I hope not.
Only a month into his presidency and it has already come to this -- a debate over whether he is incompetent or evil.
Wow!
