At first there was a problem. It had a tendency to charge hard into obstacles, bashing its sensors against hard surfaces, after which it would shut down. So, "She" ingeniously devised foam bumpers to protect its sensors and now it works well, except that occasionally it gets into a tight place and can't extricate itself. On those occasions it emits a plaintive beeping sound and after a while shuts down to patiently await rescue. It's so cute....

Now, for the next stage, she has purchased, but not yet tried, a floor-scrubbing robot. It promises to be equally "cute." This from a woman who won't allow dogs or cats into the house.
Go figure....
