To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Weekend at the Harbor, Part I -- Tall Ships and Dragons
It was a grand weekend at the Harbor. There were tall ships, small ships, cats and dragons, and all manner of watercraft. The Volvo Ocean Race boats were in town and the celebration was built around them. The tall ship pictured is the Cisne Branco from Brazil. When I referred to "dragons" I didn't mean the paddleboats in the foreground, but to the long, low craft behind them. That's a "dragon boat" and in September the Harbor will be hosting a major race among several crews. Saturday they were just practicing.
