To clarify: the title is excerpted from Act 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The full quote goes: "Light, seeking light, doth light of light beguile; So ere you find where light in darkness lies, Your light grows dark by losing of your eyes." It's a warning against spending too much of your life in scholarly pursuits.

Appalachian Springtime -- country roads
The weather was nice this afternoon, so I took some time off to walk country roads near my Pennsylvania place. The Forsythia is near the end of its run, but that makes way for even more spectacular foliage. Just a couple of minutes after taking this picture a broad-winged hawk flew over. I tried to get a picture, but it was too high. It hung there for quite a while. Then a second one passed over low, but it was moving too fast for a picture. Oh, well. There will be more to come..., many more. Last week it was red-tails, this week broad-wings. What's next?
